“What If …”
Have you ever played the “what if …” game? Is it to the creative imagination what crossword puzzles and Sudoku games are to the logical brain. Playing “what if …” is a wonderful, mind-toning exercise – exactly what writers need.
Every so often I’m going to throw a “what if …” exercise at you. When I do, please think about it, let your right brain play with it, and share whatever you come up with the rest of us in a comment.
The same rules apply to these exercises as apply to the Word Shots: Any length of response is welcome – from a single word to a full-blown story. Just keep it clean and non-toxic. And of course, weird is perfectly fine.
So here we go – the first ever “what if …” exercise from TheWritersBag.com:
What if men – not women – had babies and breast-fed them?
Have at it! And please leave your comment.

Then perhaps man-boobs would be the sexiest part of a man.
We would have the perfect cure for PMS, there would be a new family leave act that would allow men to take time off to deal with their pregnancy woes.
And women would never get a moment’s peace listening to every gripe and complain from the woefully pregnant and miserable men.
I personally would think there is finally justice in this world.
Schools would have plenty of money, and the Defense Department would have to hold bake sales to buy those unmanned drones that bomb Afghan wedding parties.
[btw--"Is it to the creative imagination what crossword puzzles and Sudoku games are to the logical brain." Methinks you mean "It is . . ."]
Women would become obsolete. Just as many men are…..
(btw- I am happily married and I am not a man hater)
Domestic violence would decrease drastically. Why do men have nipples anyway?
This thought came in God’s mind at the time of his
new creation. He started thinking-‘What if…..’ He
called his male designer. He put the question
before him. He ordered him to design a man
keeping ‘those two things’ in his mind. He
strictly ordered him not to change the look which
was already decided. He started research on it. He
made many sketches. After many days God approved
a design. He asked him to take some snapshots. God
decided to show these shots to his female designer
for final approval. God enthusiastically showed her.
But she made a face and described that one as an
eunuch. God was surprised by hearing this. He started
thinking-‘if this type of man can’t win a woman’s
heart, how the process of generation can continue?’
Ultimately he left this hard task on his female
Designer’s shoulders.
-And rest is the history!
If men had babies, not women, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Then maybe men would feel more of a connection to their offspring, and we’d have far less fatherless children!
The world population would decline drastically. Men would never go through the experience more than one time. I love em but they are just such babies when it come to pain, discomfort or having to be inconvenienced. Think about it.
